My life is guided by my faith in Jesus Christ. In addition to that, I’m a Registered Nurse, married to a retired Chief Warrant Officer, and the proud mother of two married daughters. Our family has grown to include three wonderful grandchildren.
My spouse and I embarked on our life journey together at the young age of 22. Both of us hailed from modest backgrounds with little exposure to proper money management. We carried various forms of debt and were accustomed to living paycheck to paycheck. Our past financial struggles seemed acceptable, given our upbringing. My husband’s family owned a farm, but due to a lack of financial knowledge, his father eventually had to relinquish the farming business.
